Comment: an inquiry about running against Sen. Olympia Snowe, who is awful in many respects, brought the educated reply that it would take 14 hours a day and $2 million to get 20 per cent of the vote. I have heard of no Snowe fund-raisers; she has a thick military-industrial address book.
